What content shows up in deals that close, and who's sending it
Baseline win rate 47% (56 won / 64 lost). Content ranked by how much more it appears in won deals than lost, with the reps who sent it.

Correlation, not causation: these are the deals each piece appeared in, not proof it caused the outcome.
You already know how this goes
- Execs are asking what content contributed to pipeline last quarter. But you've only got a hunch and internal chat threads.
- Somewhere in forty deals there's a "Master Deck FINAL v3 (Jen edits)". You didn't write that version.
- Reps ask for the new one-pager in chat. You hope that's the one they sent.
You ship content every quarter and it must have an impact. Knowing which pieces drive won deals, not dead pipeline, changes what you build next.
How the free HubSpot content report works
- 1
Install the app
Approve four read-only permissions in HubSpot. That's the whole setup. No Content Camel account, nothing to tag.
- 2
We go through your closed deals
Every deck, link and attachment shared on a deal, matched to whether that deal was won or lost. It runs in the background.
- 3
Your report shows up in your inbox
We email you a private link. Most analysis takes a few minutes. If you've got years of deals in there, give it a bit longer.
What the app reads
Four read-only permissions. It can't change a thing in your HubSpot.
- Dealswhich ones you won and lost, and their size and stage
- Contactswho got each piece of content, on which deal
- Sales emailthe decks and links your reps actually sent
- Filesthe names of the attachments sitting in your deals
What it won't pretend to know
We've made the mistake of spotting the same PDF in just three deals and called it a trend. Most of us have.
So the report highlights any number with too few closed deals behind it instead of drawing a trend line. It shows what content turns up alongside wins and losses. It doesn't claim the PDF closed the deal.
HubSpot content report: questions before you install
What does the report actually show?
The HubSpot Content Report shows your win rate, then every deck, link and attachment shared on your deals, ranked by how much more often it turns up in won deals than lost ones. You also get who sent each piece, how content does by deal size and by stage, plus the exact deals behind every number.
Do I need a Content Camel account?
No. Install the app in HubSpot and we'll email you a private link to your report.
What can the app see, and can it change anything?
Four read-only permissions: deals, contacts, sales email and files. It can't create, edit or delete anything in your HubSpot, and it doesn't email your contacts.
How long until I see my report?
It starts building the moment you install. Most analysis is done in a few minutes. An account with years of deals takes longer, and we'll email you when it's ready.
Does HubSpot have sales content analytics?
Yes, for engagement. HubSpot's sales content analytics tool reports views, unique visitors, shares and average time spent for the documents reps upload, plus templates and sequences. It has no deal or revenue metric, it can't show which content turns up in won deals versus lost ones, and for documents it attributes usage to the document's owner rather than the rep who sent it. That deal-level view is what this free app builds from your closed deals.
Does it track documents and attachments on HubSpot deals?
It reads them rather than tracking opens. Every attachment, deck and link shared on a closed deal is matched to whether that deal was won or lost. For per-document open tracking inside HubSpot, our guide to tracking documents in HubSpot covers what HubSpot offers and where it stops.
Why does HubSpot say the app is unverified?
We're in beta and our HubSpot Marketplace listing is still pending. HubSpot shows that notice on every app until its listing is approved.
Is the HubSpot content report free?
Yes. The report is free and stays free. If you want the same view across your whole content library, that's CRM Insights in Content Camel.
Does it prove the content won the deal?
No, and it'll tell you so. It shows what turns up alongside wins and losses. Any number with too few closed deals behind it gets highlighted. Correlation, not causation. It still shows you what's contributing to your wins.
